Diva's is well on its way to something big!!! Bracelet sales are going great and donations are coming in! DIVAS has a lot of things planned for the summer to empower, encourage, elighten, and equip the DIT's on their journey through life.

Some of the summer readings that will be assigned include:

"Best Sex of My Life: a guide purity"

"Sex is a gift not a goal"

"Letters to My Sister"

This past weekend I had the privalege to go to a new inductee meeting for DIVAs. This meeting is meant to give an introduction to what the organization is, why it was created, and what the plans are for the future.
In the beginning, I had an idea about the organization; but after attending this meeting I really got a chance to see what this organization is all about. And I am proud to know that their are dedicated people who want to do something about this problem.

I learned that DIVAs isnt just about stopping teen pregnancy, its about teaching young ladies how to be better than those before them. Its about filling that hole in young ladies hearts that they try to fill on their own. Its about bringing the presence of god into the lives of those who dont have it. Its about having someone to count on. Its about having a positive person in your life. Its about giving back.

D.I.V.A's and Links of Life Fundraiser

Hey all, on Friday, March 26th the ladies of Links of Life partnered together with me (D.I.V.A's) to raise funds for D.I.V.A's organizaton. We were stationed across from Career Services over at the Main Campus 1604. Even though we were only out there for about 3 hours, we were still able to raise $122. D.I.V.A's sold 6 bracelets and Ms. Brittany from Links of Life sold 2 door tags along with 2 - 3 preorders. And the rest came from donations. Our theme was Give Change to Make a Change!!People gave pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, 1 Susan B Anthony dollar, and of course dollar bills. One gentleman gave $20 to our cause! I am very proud of these young ladies and I truly do appreciate their help and dedication to D.I.V.A's. Give Change to Make a Change will continue on over the next several weeks as so will Bracelet sales. So please feel free to make a donation or order a bracelet anytime. D.I.V.A's

D.I.V.A's has great news to report. They have gained 7 new ladies from seton homes to join! It is great to know the impact this program is having on these young ladies.

This past week we had a meeting in which Links of Life have came and instructed the girls in makeing some bracelets. the girls really enjoyed the opportunity to learn how to make a business of their own.

We have also gotten a t-shirt that will be available for sale. It is only $10 and it shows your support for the organization.

We have several bracelets for sale. They come in a verity of colors and styles. In support of pregnancy prevention, Because I'm worth it is trying educate and encourage young ladies on the opportunities that are before them. With the purchase of a bracelet, you will be supporting the events that go into decreasing the teen pregnancy rate.

our beginning stages

We have built our beginning inventory. We had an excellent supplier that also helped us create a few of the items we have for sale. the facebook page and the DIVAs home page have been updated to incorporate the changes of the organization.

our progress this past week

We are progressing through our project. I recruited my mom to create some braceletts for our business. My mom makes and sales bracelettes herself as a recreational hobby. She was more than happy to donate some of her finished products to us to sell.
